Terms of Service

These terms apply when you play KUR and when you use this website. KUR is published by Muraena Games, the trading name of LUANN SILVA UNIPESSOAL LDA, a company registered in Portugal (“we”, “us”). By playing you agree to them. If you buy KUR or any content for it on Steam, the Steam Subscriber Agreement also applies to that purchase.

1. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play KUR for your own non-commercial use. You may stream and record the game and publish videos and screenshots of it. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer or redistribute the game, except where the law allows it.

2. Your account

You play KUR with your Steam account, and your game account is linked to it. You are responsible for what happens on your account. One account per person; do not sell, share or transfer it.

3. An online game

KUR runs on our servers and needs an internet connection. We work to keep it available, but there will be maintenance, outages and updates. We may change, rebalance, add or remove game content to keep the game fair and healthy. Before and during early access periods (such as a beta), progress may be reset; we will tell you in advance when that happens.

4. Virtual items

Gold, items, materials, Fragments and every other in-game resource are part of the game. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money and are licensed to you, not sold. You may only transfer them through features the game itself offers.

5. Fair play

Do not:

• use bots, scripts, macros or modified clients to play for you or to gain an advantage;
• exploit bugs on purpose instead of reporting them;
• attack, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to our servers or other players’ accounts;
• use the game, names or bug reports to harass anyone or to post unlawful content.

If you break these rules we may reverse what you gained by it, suspend or close your account. Where reasonable we will tell you why and give you the chance to respond at hello@muraenagames.com.

6. What you send us

When you send us bug reports, feedback or ideas, you let us use them to improve KUR without owing you anything for them. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Our rights

KUR, its art, music, text, characters and code belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights to them beyond the licence in section 1.

8. This website and external links

This website presents KUR and its news. Do not try to access it without authorisation, overload it or copy its content in bulk with automated tools. Links to other sites, such as Steam, are there for your convenience; those sites have their own terms and policies and we are not responsible for their content or availability.

9. Liability

We provide KUR as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, failures of networks or providers we do not control, or changes to the Steam platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights for digital content that is not as described.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end these terms or shut the game down; if we decide to end the online service, we will give at least 60 days’ notice in the game and on this site.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you live in the European Union you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring a claim in its courts. Please contact us first; most problems are solved by an email. EU consumers may also use alternative dispute resolution; in Portugal, see the list of entities at consumidor.gov.pt.

12. Changes

We may update these terms when the game or the law changes. We publish the new version here with a new date and the reason for the change at least 7 days before it applies (30 days if it is unfavourable to you), and tell you in the game when the change matters. If you keep playing after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can stop playing and ask us to delete your account.
